Variable Induction Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Intake Flap Motor with Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Assembly Tool (T10118)

‹› Commercially Available 1/4" Reversible Ratchet

‹› T30 TORX Bit

Removing

-

Remove the engine cover/upper air filter housing. Refer to => [ Engine Cover/Upper Air Filter Housing ] See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Air
Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair/Engine Cover/Upper Air Filter Housing.

Remove the air guide bolts - arrows - and air guide from the lock carrier. 

-

Disconnect the vacuum lines - arrows -.

-

Disconnect the electrical connectors for the following:

‹› It is easier to release the connectors that are hard to access when using (T10118).

‹› Intake flap motor (V157)

‹› Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve (N80)
