Campaign - Comfort Control Module Software Update

Condition

Instructions: Perform this procedure on all applicable vehicle within the Limited new vehicle Warranty

RVU - Comfort Control Module Software Update (OS)

00 06 14 Oct. 25, 2006, 2013192, Supersedes T.B. Group 00 number 06-09 dated Oct. 18, 2006 due to addition of VIN break, Tip to Step 10 and
"Check Only" repair code to Warranty table.

Tip: This Technical Bulletin is in effect for 12 months from date of publication as listed above. After that date, this Technical Bulletin will expire and no
longer be in effect. Procedure must be performed ONLY on applicable vehicles in Dealer inventory.

Requirements:

Vehicle must meet ALL of the following criteria:

1. Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the (OS) code open on the ElsaWeb Campaign / Action Information inquiry screen on the day of

repair.

2. Vehicle must be within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty.
3. Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Bulletin.

Topic

A. Inconsistent roof opening operation and possible "open rear locks" message in MFI.
B. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is too sensitive and causes TPMS indicator to illuminate in Instrument Cluster.

Service

Input VIN into Elsa and check Campaign / Action Information inquiry screen for open Code (OS).

Checking Software Level

1. Connect VAS tester to vehicle.
2. Turn vehicle ignition to ON position.
3. Activate Vehicle Self Diagnosis from VAS tester.
4. Select diagnostic address "46- Central Module Comfort System".

5. Check software level -arrow-. If software level is:

-

at 218 or greater, no further action is required. Close out RVU, see Warranty.

at 217 or less, continue to step 6.

6. Exit VAS tester.
7. Turn vehicle ignition to OFF position.
8. Go to Updating Software Level
