Using a screwdriver - A -, pry the protective housing upward and sideways to remove from the retaining plate - arrow -.

Disconnect the forward electrical harness connector - 1 -.

Lift up the locking mechanism - 2 - slightly.

Remove the Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) ( J623) from the retainer - arrow -.
-
Disconnect the rear electrical harness connector.
