Pry out seal using pulling hook T20143/1.

Lightly oil new sealing ring on outer circumference.

Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip - arrow - halfway with sealing grease G 052 128 A1.

Drive in sealing ring as far as stop using Sleeve VW 423.
The rest of installation follows the reverse order of removal, note the following:
Note: Transmission shift lever can only be inserted in one position.

If removed, install entire air filter housing.
