Condition

Vehicle Information

Battery, Discharged and Faulty Comfort Functions

The battery is found to be discharged, various DTCs and erratic comfort functions are encountered relating to the rear door control modules.

Symptoms encountered, but not limited too:

Rear window motors move in the wrong direction.

When viewing the instrument cluster an open door is shown, although doors are closed.

False fault codes identify sensors and switches which are not available on 4 door models.

00102 sensor for interior locking, rear left

E 310 00103 sensor for interior locking, rear right

-

E 311 01664 switch for interior locking rear left

-

E 273, LOCK 01665 switch for interior locking rear left

-

E 273, UNLOCK 01666 switch for interior locking rear right

-

E 274, LOCK 01667 switch for interior locking rear right

-

E 274, UNLOCK

The sun roof cannot be opened or closed.

Note:

DO NOT diagnose or replace any components before performing the update function as explained in this bulletin.

Tip:

This is only encountered on vehicles that use LIN Bus for the rear door control modules
