Variable Valve Timing Actuator: Service and Repair

Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205)

Remove the charge air pipe from the noise generator, if equipped. Refer to => [ Charge Air Pipe from Noise Generator ] See: Powertrain
Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Turbocharger/Service and Repair/Charge Air Pipe From Noise Generator.

Disconnect the connector from the camshaft adjustment valve 1 - 1 -.

Remove the bolts - arrows - and then the camshaft adjustment valve 1.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Lubricate the seal and O-ring with engine oil.
