Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

Knock Sensor 1 (G61)

Removing

-

Remove the electrical connector - 2 - from the knock sensor 1.

-

Remove the coolant pump. Refer to => [ Coolant Pump ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Water Pump/Service and
Repair/Coolant Pump.

  ‹› The knock sensor 1 is located below the intake manifold behind the coolant pump.

Remove the knock sensor 1.

Installing

-

Installation is performed in reverse order.
