Remove door trim of the driver/passenger door. See Repair Manual, Group 70 Interior Trim.

Remove and install dampers/door and side trim/cover, remove.

^

Remove the caps of the openings for the pinch bolts.

^

Lower the door window till the two pinch bolts (C, D) are accessible through the opening.

^

Tighten pinch bolts (C, D) to 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.).

If one or both pinch bolts can be retightened:

Remove pinch bolt(s) separately

^

Clean and apply liquid locking compound (part number: D 000 600 A2)

^

Install bolt  tighten to 6 Nm. (53 in.lbs.)

Tighten mounting bolts (E, F) as necessary to 8 Nm (70 in.
lbs.).

Remove mounting bolt(s) separately

^

Clean and apply liquid locking compound (part number: D 000 600 A2)

^

Install bolt  tighten to 8 Nm (70 in.lbs.).

Install door trim, see Repair Manual, Group 70 Interior Trim.
