Rear Lid
Release Element
‹› If rear lid does not open, it can be opened by hand using the emergency release.

Emergency Release
Removing

Remove rear lid trim.

Disconnect harness connector - 2 - from unlocking element - 1 -.

Remove the bolts - 3 -.

Then, unlocking element - 1 - can be removed from rear lid.
Installation
Installation of unlocking element - 1 - is the same in reverse order.
Screw - 2 - tightening specification: 4 Nm.
‹› Before the rear lid is closed, a function test of the unlocking components must be performed.
‹› The rear lid is adjusted at the striker pin.
