Front Seat(s) - Easy Entry Feature Inoperative, Seat Can Not be Moved Lengthwise

NOTE:  DO NOT replace the seat or seat frame for this condition. Seats and seat frames replaced for this condition will be debited.

Technical Background

By simultaneously operating the backrest unlocking and lengthways adjustment (pulling up at 45°) the lever (figure 2, No. 1) of the lengthwise
adjustment doesn't grip. If pressure is applied on the lengthwise adjustment lever (at an angle of 45° from top to down), possibly with the foot, the
lengthwise adjustment lever (see figure 2, No.1 also fails to grip.

In such a case (illustration 2, red ellipse) the lengthwise unlocking doesn't operate any longer and the seat cannot be moved.

Tip:  Figures 1 and 2 show the seat or seat frame removed from vehicle and in an inverted position.
