Fan Shroud: Service and Repair

Fan Shroud and Fans

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

-

Remove the noise insulation.

-

Unclip the coolant hose from fan shroud.

-

Remove the air duct from the air filter. Refer to => [ Air Filter Housing Overview ] See: Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air
Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair.

-

Disconnect the harness connector - 1 - and remove the fan shroud bolts - arrows -.

-

Remove the fan shroud with fans.

-

Disconnect the harness connector - 1 - and lay the wires aside.

-

Remove the nuts - arrows - and remove the fans.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:
