Disconnect harness connector from Central Air Door Motor (V70).

-

Unscrew securing bolts - 1 - and remove Central Air Door Motor (V70).

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

‹› After installing Central Air Door Motor (V70), the central door must be checked for function.

‹› Initiate "Basic Setting" function with Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B). Refer to=> [ Checking and Adjusting

Components ] See: Description and Operation/Climatronic A/C System With Automatic Control.

‹› Pressing the button AUTO will reverse all settings which deviate from the automatic operation.

‹› Deviations from automatic operation => respective operating instructions. 

‹› If the ECON button is activated, the compressor is set to almost no delivery. The specific ambient conditions or activation signals must be present.

The heating and ventilation operation continues to be controlled electronically.

‹› When the ECON button is deactivated, the A/C compressor is switched on. The specific ambient conditions or activation signals must be present.

The heating and ventilation operation continues to be controlled electronically.

‹› The ECON button is deleted. It is replaced by the AC button. The ON/OFF button is deleted. Replaced by the OFF button.

‹› When the AC button is activated, the A/C compressor is switched on. The specific ambient conditions or activation signals must be present. The

heating and ventilation operation continues to be controlled electronically.

‹› If the AC button is deactivated, the compressor is set to almost no delivery. The specific ambient conditions or activation signals must be present.

The heating and ventilation operation continues to be controlled electronically.

‹› When the ON/OFF button is activated, the Climatronic works.

‹› When the ON/OFF button is deactivated, the Climatronic is not working. There is no heating or ventilation.

‹›  OFF button activated. Climatronic is switched off. There is no heating or ventilation.

‹›  OFF button deactivated. Climatronic is switched on. 

‹› If there is a malfunction in the system, first check DTC memory. Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & info. System (VAS 5051B) in "Guided Fault

Finding".

Removing

Remove left footwell vent. Refer to => [ Left Footwell Vent ] See: Air Register/Service and Repair

-

Remove the left footwell trim.

-

Remove Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface ( J533).
