Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair

Fluid Reservoir With Dryer Cartridge

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› A/C service station (VAS 6007A)

‹› Workshop crane (VAS 6100)

‹› Engine sling (2024 A)

Removing

Extract refrigerant e.g. using A/C service station (VAS 6007A), only then open the refrigerant circuit. Observe notes. Refer to => [ Refrigerant
Circuit Components ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Refrigerant Circuit Components.

Bring the lock carrier into service position. See: Body and Frame/Lock Carrier

Unscrew mounting bolts for cooler - arrows -.

Hang cooler on workshop crane (VAS 6100) and engine sling (2024 A) using workshop equipment (cable ties or welding wire) and unhook from
lock carrier, coolant hoses and refrigerant lines remain connected.

Unscrew mounting bolt - 2 - and remove retaining clip.

CAUTION!
There is a danger of ice-up.
