Headlamp Range Control Adjusting Motor, Valeo

Application and Safety Information

CAUTION:  Note usage and safety notes for halogen lamps.

NOTE:

-

During removal and installation, leave ignition key with remote control inside the vehicle to prevent the doors from locking and possibly activating
the "Coming Home / Leaving Home" functions on its own.

-

If adjustment motors are removed and installed or replaced, headrest adjustment must be checked and headrest must be adjusted if necessary.

Removing

Illustrations depict replacement of Headlight beam adjusting motor at right headlamp.

Replacement of adjusting motor at left headlamp is performed analogously.

Remove headlamp.

-

Disengage retaining bracket - 3 - from housing cover - 1 - and remove housing cover from retainers - arrows -.

-

Rotate adjusting motor - A - counterclockwise until bolt - arrow B - is visible.

-

Remove both mounting bolts.
