Hydraulic System, Filling and Bleeding

CAUTION!
Oil level must be between "MIN" and "MAX" marking. If oil level is over "MAX" marking, pressure in hydraulic system can become so
high that damage occurs.

‹› The electro-hydraulic convertible top operation is a closed system. Hydraulic oil generally only needs to be topped off after a loss of oil.

‹› The hydraulic system is filled when the CSC roof is "closed" due to the lift and displacement effects in the hydraulic cylinders.

‹› New hydraulic pumps are delivered with the bypass bolt open. Close the bypass bolt before filling the hydraulic fluid.

Filling

Remove bracket and hydraulic pump cover.

Make sure the bypass bolt is closed. Tightening specification: 2 Nm.

Remove oil filler plug - 4 -.

-

Fill Hydraulic Oil (G 002 000) until oil level is between "MIN" and "MAX" markings -  arrow -.

-

Install oil filler plug - 4 -, tightening specification: 2 Nm.
