Disengage harness connector - 1 - by pulling locking button - 3 - in - direction of arrow -.

Remove connector - 1 - in - direction of arrow  - and remove Battery Interrupt Igniter - 2 - from vehicle.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

‹› When installing connector on Battery Interrupt Igniter, ensure connector retainer engages audibly.

Tighten all threaded connections to specified torque shown in => [ Main Fuse Box Tightening Specifications ] See: Fuse
Block/Specifications/Main Fuse Box Tightening Specifications.

Reconnect battery, refer to => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment ] See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service
and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment.
