Evaporative Emission Canister

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Engine/Transmission Jack (V.A.G 1383 A)

‹› T Bar and Socket 10 mm (3185)

Removing

-

Remove the center and rear mufflers.

-

Remove the heat shield fasteners - arrows - and shield.

-

For supporting purposes, place the (V.A.G 1383 A ) under the rear subframe.

-

Loosen the bolts - arrows - for the rear subframe and unscrew them approximately 20 mm.

-

Slowly lower the rear subframe using the (V.A.G 1383 A ).

-

Disconnect the vent lines - A - by pressing the release buttons.
