Observe last number of software index under "Steering Column Electronics" and compare to table above. If last digit is a 1, this technical bulletin
DOES NOT apply.

If a fault log has not been printed, perform the following:

Select "Vehicle Self Diagnosis "

Select "On Board Diagnostics (OBD)"

Select "16 - Steering Wheel Electronics"

Observe last number of software index in upper right hand of screen. If a "1" is shown, this technical bulletin DOES NOT apply.

Procedure

Select "Operating Mode -> Guided Functions -> Steering Wheel Electronics -> Adaptation cruise control system debounce counter"

When completed, confirm codes are erased. If codes remain, further diagnosis will need to be performed. Otherwise, exit GFF.
