Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair

Airbag Control Module

CAUTION!
Observe safety precautions for working on airbags. Refer to => [ Airbags Safety Precautions ].

Removing

-

Disconnect vehicle battery.

-

Remove cover - 1 - and remove screw - 2 - (1.5 Nm).

-

Pull left footwell trim - 3 - out of catches.

-

Remove right footwell trim the same way.

Grasp, from passenger's side footwell out, with Hook for Front End (3370) behind catch - 1 - from connector - 2 -.

-

Pull Hook for Front End (3370) outward and release securing mechanism from connector.

-

Swivel bracket - 3 - back - arrow - and disconnect bracket from control module - 4 -.

-

Remove three nuts - arrows - (9 Nm).

-

Remove the control module from the vehicle.
