Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Service and Repair
Front Hood Switch
Removing
-
Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical components and remove ignition key.

Remove radiator grille.

Disconnect harness connector in the vicinity of the right headlamp - arrow -.

Unclip connector - 1 - in - direction of arrow - from lock carrier.

Remove mounting bolts - 2 - (12 Nm) and unclip wiring harness at mounting points - 3 -.

Remove lid lock from lock carrier.
NOTE: Bowden cable may remain connected to the lid lock.

Disengage retaining tab - 1 - and slide Front Hood Switch F266 in - direction of arrow -.
-
Remove contact switch from lid lock.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
