Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

Front Door Crash Sensors

‹› Removal and installation is described for the right-hand side of the vehicle. Removal and installation for the left-hand side is performed in the

same manner.

Removing

CAUTION!
Observe safety precautions for working on airbags.

Disconnect vehicle battery.

-

Remove corresponding door trim:

Repair/Driver Door Trim

‹› Passenger's side, refer to => [ Passenger Door Trim ] See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door Panel/Service

and Repair/Passenger Door Trim

Separate wiring harness - 1 - from crash sensor -  3 -.

-

Remove the two bolts - 2 - (2.5 Nm).

Installing

-

Perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

-

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION!
Make sure that no one is in the vehicle.

Connect vehicle battery.
