Driver Window Regulator Switch

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

‹› When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( ( VAS 3409),

screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

The following components are integrated in the upper part of the grip shell:

‹› Left Front Window Regulator Switch (E40)

‹› Driver Right Front Window Regulator Switch (E81)

‹› Driver Left Rear Window Regulator Switch (E53)

‹› Driver's Right Rear Window Regulator Switch (E55 )

‹› Central Window Regulator Switch (in driver's door) ( E189)

‹› Push Button Light (L76)

‹› Left Front Window Regulator Switch (E40) and Driver's Right Front Window Regulator Switch (E81) as well as Driver's Left Rear Window

Regulator Switch (E53 ) and Driver's Right Rear Window Regulator Switch (E55) can only be replaced as pairs.

Removing:

-

Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

-

Carefully pry upper section of grip shell - 1 - out of door trim using (VAS 3409) or a screwdriver.

Disconnect connectors - arrows -.
