Cylinder Block

Sealing Flange

‹› Apply sealant (D 176 501 A1) to the sealing surfaces.

Seal

‹› Remove using pulling hook (T20143/2).

‹› Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) oil seal,

Identification: no inner coil spring

‹› Do not additionally lubricate or grease the sealing lip of the oil seal.

‹› Before installing, remove any remaining oil from the crankshaft with a clean cloth.

Dual Mass Flywheel

‹› Removing and installing, refer to => [ Dual Mass Flywheel ] See: Dual Mass Flywheel.

Bolt

‹› 60 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn

‹› Replace

‹› To loosen or tighten, use counter-holder tool (T10044) (with 5 mm spacers), or counter-holder tool (T10069).
