Footwell/Defroster Flap Motor End Position, Checking and Adjust

Footwell/defroster Flap Motor -V85- End Position, Checking And Adjusting

Remove footwell vent console and footwell trim. 

-

Disconnect 5 pin connector T5a for -V85- at heater/evaporator housing.

Connect appropriate cables from adapter kit VW 1594 or VAG 1594 A to terminals 4 and 5.

Connect to 12V supply. Direction of flap motor rotation can be changed by reversing polarity of voltage supply.

Operate flap motor -1- from one end position to the other. 

-

Check if footwell/defrost flap lever reaches stop at end position. If necessary, adjust cable. 

Checking:

By reversing polarity of 12V supply, positioning motor must move fully to both end positions.
