Connect VAG 1598/18 Test Box to ECM wiring harness.

Switch Fluke 83 multimeter to resistance range.

With closed throttle, connect multimeter between Test Box sockets 10 + 33.

specification: 5.0 Ohms maximum

Slowly open throttle valve.

specification: infinity Ohms
If specification not obtained:
-
Disconnect 8-pin Throttle Valve Control Module harness connector.
