First disconnect battery ground strap -2- from battery negative terminal.

Then disconnect battery positive cable from battery positive terminal -1-.

Unclip fuse holder in direction of -arrow- and tilt forward.

NOTE:  Removal of fuse holder is not always necessary, but does improve access.

Lower flange retainer

Hold-down clamp must press onto lower flange

Hex bolt M8 X 30 (tightening torque 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.))

Mounting base

-

Remove hex bolt -3-.
