Steering Wheel With Airbag, Removing And Installing 09.98 -->

Hex nut
-

67 Nm (49 ft lb)

Torx screw (T 30)
-

5 Nm (44 in lb)

Airbag unit

Airbag spiral spring - F138 -

Removing

-

Driver's side airbag unit removed.

-

Turn steering wheel - 1 - to center position (wheels straight ahead)

-

Remove hex nut - 2 - and remove steering wheel off column

NOTE:   Airbag spiral spring - F138 - - 7 - remains on the steering wheel.

Installing

-

Install in reverse order of removal. Tightening torque (nut - 2 -): 50 Nm (37 ft lb)
