With CD changer loosely installed:

-

Tighten all seat mounting bolts to hold CD changer in place (see VESIS repair group 72, Front seat and frame, removing, for correct torque
specifications).

Tighten 6 mm nuts to fasten CD changer to floor mounting brackets.

-

Connect CD changer to harness (position excess harness on side of CD changer).

Radio, coding to accept CD changer

Note:

Radio will control CD changer regardless, however, for proper operation and diagnostics, code the radio for CD support.

Connect the VAS 5051 Diagnostic tool.

-

Code radio to accept CD changer by changing last digit in code from 0 to 2 (see VESIS Group 01 Radio, On Board Diagnostic (OBD) 08.98 > for
coding procedure).

Test CD changer operation with a CD. With CD changer operational:

-

Finish installation by bundling any excess wiring harness behind carpet as shown.

-

Ensure that wiring harness will not rattle by fastening with tape where necessary.

-

Reinstall close-out cover below instrument panel (passenger side).

-

For MultiVan, reinstall rearward facing seat.
