Eurovan MV V6-2.8L (AXK) (2002)
spring must close the throttle valve to the previously learned emergency position within a specified time (spring test).
Then, the throttle valve is closed by the throttle valve actuator; the values supplied by the angle sensors in the throttle valve control unit are stored by the
Engine Control Module (ECM).
If Engine Control Module (ECM) should de-energize throttle valve actuator during driving operation, this is expressed by an increased, surging idle
speed (RPM). The engine accepts gas only after great delay.

Do not end adaptation by pressing the -> button, until it has been in progress for at least 30 seconds.
The adaptation has been successfully completed.
To store the values:
-
Switch ignition off.
NOTE: The control module can abort basic adjustment for the following reasons:
-
The throttle valve is not reaching the mechanical idle stop due to dirt, e.g, carbon buildup.
-
Battery voltage is too low.
-
Throttle valve control module or wire connection is faulty, checking.
After a cancellation, a DTC is entered in DTC memory. The next time the ignition is switched on, basic adjustment will be automatically
repeated.
-
End basic adjustment of the engine by pressing the -> key.
-
Press buttons -0- and -6- to select "End Output" function 06. Press -Q- button to confirm input.
-
Switch ignition off.
-
Read readiness code. If DTC memory was erased or the Engine Control Module (ECM) was disconnected from the continuous B+ supply, the
readiness code must be re-generated.
Replacement ECM, Adaptation (Function 10)
Replacement Engine Control Module (ECM), Adaptation (function 10)
NOTE:
-
The Engine Control Module (ECM) is adapted to the control module for anti-theft immobilizer. All newly installed ECMs must be adaptated.
-
If there are no authorized ignition keys available, new ignition keys must be prepared and adapted.
-
The secret number must be known. If not, determine secret number.
-
Adaptation can be interrupted using the "C" button of the VAG 1551 scan tool.
-
Before proceeding with adaptation, determine method by which data exchange takes place between the ECM and the immobilizer control module
by performing OBD function 08 - Read measuring value block and then use appropriate procedure below:
Immobilizer III with control module data exchange via CAN Bus, ECM adaptation
Requirements
Authorized keys available.
NOTE: If all components are to be replaced, adapt all control modules and use new key set.
-
Insert old (authorized) key into ignition lock.
-
Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST), switch on ignition, select operating mode 1 "Rapid Data Transfer", and input address word 01, "Engine
Electronics".
Display indicates ECM identification and coding. (Values displayed here are examples only!!).
