Welded Nut In Long Member, Repairing
Welded nut in long member, repairing
If thread in welded nut of long member is damaged, it can be repaired using Helicoil thread insert.

Drill through core of damaged weld nut -a- and -b-.
WARNING: Use protective glasses when drilling.
Notes:

Do not tilt drill when drilling.

Only use thread inserts with 1.5 incline.
^
Insert helicoil thread insert according to manufacturer's installation guidelines.
