Pry up the locking mechanism - 2 - slightly.

-

Slide the ECM out of the retainer - arrow -.

-

Disengage the rear electrical connector from the ECM and disconnect it.

Installing

-

Connect the rear electrical connector to the ECM and engage it. 

-

Slide the ECM into the retainer.

-

Press the locking mechanism - 2 - against the ECM. 

-

Connect the front electrical connector - 1 - to the ECM and engage it.

-

Slide the protective housing onto the retaining plate.

-

Tighten the shear bolts - 1 - uniformly until the bolt heads shear off.
