Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Press support (30 - 506 B)

‹› Mounting universal joint (41-501)

‹› Sleeve (3160)

‹› Assembly tool (3301)

‹› Support arm bearing inst. tool (3346)

‹› Carrier bearing inst. tool (3350)

‹› Torque wrench 40-200 Nm (VAG 1332)

Removing

-

Remove the wheel.

-

Remove the coil spring. Refer to --> [ Coil Spring ] See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and Repair/Coil Spring.

Remove the wheel hub and bearing. Refer to --> [ Wheel Bearing and Hub ] See: Wheel Bearing/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension/Wheel
Bearing and Hub.

Remove the cover plate.

-

Remove the bolt - arrow - for the lower transverse link - 1 -.

-

Install the special tools as shown in the illustration.
