Clutch Pedal Assembly: Service and Repair
Over-Center Spring

Over-Center Spring

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Assembly tool (T10178)

Removing

‹› Before disconnecting the battery, retrieve the coding for radio devices with anti-theft coding. 

‹› Disconnect battery ground (GND) cable with ignition switched off.

‹› When reconnecting battery 

‹› Lubricate the various bearing and contact surfaces with grease (G 000 450 02).

Slide driver's seat as far to the rear as possible and set steering wheel to the highest position.

Remove cover in driver's side foot well and left driver's side trim

-

Remove crash brace - 1 - in front of clutch pedal, to do so remove nuts - 2 -.

-

Remove clutch pedal - 1 - from mounting bracket -  3 -, to do so remove nut - 2 - and pull out bolt -  5 -.
