Front Bumper Cover / Fascia: Service and Repair

Front Bumper Cover

‹› Before replacing bumper cover, explore possibility of repairing damage to plastic.

Description under. 

‹› Due to model variations, small deviations may be present during removal and installation.

Removing

-

Remove radiator grille. Refer to --> [ Radiator Grille ] See: Exterior Moulding / Trim/Service and Repair. 

-

In vehicles with headlamp cleaning system, pull out spray nozzles with cover cap from bumper cover until it stops and unclip cover cap.

-

Remove screws - 2 -.

-

Remove bolts - 5 - from below.

-

Unscrew bolts - 4 - and - 1 - (pointing upward) in area of left and right wheel housing liners.

‹› A second technician is required for the rest of the removal procedure. 

-

With a second technician, pull bumper cover - 3 - parallel out of guide profiles.

-

Disconnect harness connectors of installed electrical components and hoses.
