Replace the bolts for the brackets using the (T10096) in succession and tighten to 20 Nm.

Securing the Bracket

Position of the front axle is now secured.

Remove the stabilizer bar. Refer to --> [ Stabilizer Bar ] See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Stabilizer Bar/Service and Repair/Front
Suspension/Stabilizer Bar. 

Remove the steering gear, refer to one of the following:

‹›  Generation 2 steering gear, refer to --> [ Steering Gear, Generation 2 ] See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Gear/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Steering Gear, Generation 2.

‹› Generation 3 steering gear, refer to --> [ Steering Gear, Generation 3 ] See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Gear/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Steering Gear, Generation 3. 

Removing Locating Pins (T10096)

Removal is performed in the reverse order. Make sure that the (T10096) are replaced in succession using new bolts.
