Roof Insulation/Reinforcements, Wagon

Removing

-

Remove headliner. Refer to --> [ Molded Headliner, Wagon ] See: Molded Headliner, Wagon.

Cut the roof insulation/reinforcements - 1 - into strips approximately 6 cm wide - 2 - with a carpet knife, moving in the direction of travel.

Remove the strips - 2 - from the roof.

Cut back the adhesive residue - 3 - with an Electric Cutter (V.A.G 1561 A) and Cutting Blade (V.A.G 1561/20) - 4 -. 

‹› If paint structure was damaged while removing roof insulation/reinforcements, paint damage must be repaired.

Installing

‹› Processing instructions of adhesive must be observed when installing roof insulation/reinforcements.

Using a Cartridge Gun (V.A.G 1628), apply the 1K Assembly Adhesive (D 190 MKD A3) -  2 - to the roof insulation/reinforcements - 1 -.

Dimension - a - = 61 mm

Dimension - b - = 25 mm

Dimension - c - = 34.5 mm
