Installing

Tightening specifications, refer to the following:

‹› Tightening sequence and specification, refer to --> [ Coolant Pump Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification ] See: Coolant Pump and

Thermostat Assembly Overview.

‹› --> [ Intake Manifold Assembly Overview ] See: Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Intake Manifold Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following: 

‹› Replace the gaskets and O-rings.

Clean the O-ring sealing surfaces.

-

Lubricate the O-rings - 4 - with coolant additive G 12 plus-plus.

Make sure both centering pins are installed in the cylinder block.

Install the connection piece - 2 - into the oil cooler -  1 -.

Mount and install the coolant pump - 3 - onto the connection piece and onto the centering pins in the cylinder block:

‹› If a new coolant pump was installed, then the protective cap -  arrow - must be removed.
