Oil Pan, Lower - Tightening Sequence and Tightening Specification

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

Procedure

-

Tighten new bolts for lower oil pan section in 2 steps in sequence - 1 to 20 - as follows:

-

Tighten bolts to 8 Nm.

-

Tighten an additional 90° (1/4 turn).

Oil Pan, Upper - Tightening Sequence and Tightening specification

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

Procedure

-

Tighten new upper oil pan section bolts in 2 stages in sequence - 1 to 14 - as follows:

1. Tighten the bolts to 15 Nm.
2. Tighten an additional 90° (1/4 turn).
