Installing

‹› Tightening sequence and specifications, refer to --> [ Transmission Side Sealing Flange, Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification ] See:

Sealing Flange and Dual Mass Flywheel Assembly Overview.

‹› Use silicone sealant (D 174 003 A2).

‹› Note the expiration date of the silicone sealant (D 174 003 A2).

‹› The sealing flange must be installed within 5 minutes after applying the silicone sealant (D 174 003 A2).

Remove any sealant residue on the cylinder block using a flat blade scraper.

CAUTION!
Wear safety glasses.

Remove the sealant residue on the sealant flange, for example with a rotating plastic brush.

Clean the sealing surfaces, they must be free of oil and grease.

Remove the oil residue on crankshaft end using a clean cloth.

-

Cut the tube nozzle at the front marking (nozzle diameter approximately 2 mm).
