GLI L4-2.0L Turbo (CCTA) (2008)
If pressure drops again:
-
Check high pressure pump fuel pipe for leaks.
If no malfunction can be found:
-
Replace high pressure pump.
If pressure no longer drops now:
-
Check fuel filter fuel supply line for leaks.
NOTE: Fuel tank and attachments assembly overview.
If no malfunctions are found on the fuel supply line:
-
Check check-valve in fuel delivery unit. Connect fuel injector pressure gauge V.A.G 1318 with adapter For VAG 1318 V.A.G 1318/17A between
fuel filter and fuel supply line.
-
Open shut-off valve of pressure gauge. The lever points in direction of flow.
-
Switch ignition on and off often until fuel pressure on pressure gauge no longer rises.
-
Read off fuel pressure on pressure gauge:
-
Specified value: 3.5 to 6.0 bar.
-
After pressure has built up, immediately close shut-off tap of pressure gauge. The lever then points perpendicular to flow direction - arrow -.
-
Watch pressure drop on gauge:
-
After 10 minutes the pressure must not drop below a 3.0 bar decrease.
If pressure drops:
-
If check-valve in Fuel Pump (FP) is faulty, then replace fuel delivery unit.
If pressure does not drop:
-
Pressure relief valve in fuel filter malfunctioning, replace fuel filter.
