Slide Engine Control Module (ECM) on to retaining plate.

Now connect front harness connector to Engine Control Module (ECM) and engage it.

-

Slide protective housing on to retaining plate.

-

Tighten shear bolts - 1 - uniformly until bolt heads shear off.

-

Install plenum chamber bulkhead.

-

Install wiper arms and plenum chamber cover.

-

If engine control module was replaced, connect vehicle diagnostic tester and perform "Guided Function, Replacing Engine Control Module".

-

Check engine control module DTC memory erase all DTC entries "Guided Function".

NOTE:  If DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code "Guided Function".

-

Perform test drive.

NOTE: Observe safety precautions that apply to road tests.

-

Again, check engine control module DTC memory.
