GLI L4-2.0L Turbo (CCTA) (2008)
If no malfunction can be found:

Pressure relief valve in fuel filter malfunctioning, replace fuel filter.
If specification is not obtained:

Check fuel pressure in front of fuel filter. Connect fuel injector pressure gauge V.A.G 1318 with adapter For VAG 1318 V.A.G 1318/17A between
fuel filter and fuel supply line.

Open shut-off valve of pressure gauge. The lever points in direction of flow.

Start engine and run at idle speed.
CAUTION: Shut-off valve must only be closed slowly. At a fuel pressure of 8 bar, shut-off valve must be opened again immediately to
prevent damage to pressure measuring device.

Slowly close pressure gauge shut-off tap. The lever then points perpendicular to flow direction - arrow -:

Pressure must increase to min. 6.0 bar.
When 6 bar is reached:

Open the shut-off tap immediately.
If pressure has increased:
-
Fuel Pump (FP) OK. Pressure relief valve in the fuel filter is malfunctioning; replace fuel filter.
If pressure does not increase:
-
Fuel Pump faulty, replace fuel delivery unit.
