Switch the ignition on.

-

 Using a multimeter, check the Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor (G336) electrical harness connector terminal 1 to ground for voltage.

Specified value: near 5 V

-

Switch ignition off.

If the specified value was obtained:

-

 Using a multimeter, connect the black lead to terminal 3 and the red lead to Battery positive.

Specified value: Battery voltage.

If the specified values were Not obtained:

-

Check the wiring for an open, high resistance or short to ground.

Check the electrical harness connector for damage, corrosion, loose or broken terminals.

-

If necessary, repair the faulty wiring connection.

If the specified values were obtained:

Checking internal resistance

-

Using a multimeter, check the Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor (G336) electrical terminals 2 to 3 for resistance. 

Specified value: 7-25 ohms (at approx. 20° C)
