‹› To prevent malfunctions, cover critical air flow engine components such as the MAF sensor, air duct pipes etc. with a clean cloth.

Check the MAF sensor and air duct hose (intake air side) for salt residue, dirt, and leaves.

Check the intake ducting up to the air filter element for dirt. If any contaminants are discovered, clean the air filter housing (upper and lower parts)
of salt residue, dirt and leaves (if necessary, clean by washing or vacuuming).

Check the intake air guide for dirt.

Remove and clean the snow screen - 1 -.

‹› The snow screen is not installed on all vehicles.

Clean the water drain - arrow - and the lower part of the air filter housing.

-

Make sure that air filter element is properly centered when placed into the mounting of the lower air filter housing.

Place the upper air filter housing onto the lower air filter housing carefully and without using excessive force. When doing this, make sure that
upper air filter housing is not tilted on the air filter element (pay attention to sealing lip of air filter element).
