Place test instrument adapter/DSO (5-pin) VAS 5565 on connector and on fuel delivery unit.

Connect remote control V.A.G 1348/3A to test instrument adapter/DSO (5-pin) VAS 5565 and to battery plus (+).

NOTE:  This step is needed only to enable the fuel pump to run while the engine is shut off.

Remove fuel filler cap from fuel filler tube.

CAUTION:
-

The fuel supply line is under pressure. Wear protective goggles and protective clothing to prevent injuries and contact with skin.

Before loosening line connections, place a cloth around the connection point. Then release pressure by carefully pulling off the line.

-

Disconnect fuel supply line - 3 - at the supply location and catch any fuel coming out with a cloth.

NOTE:  Pull circlip upward to unlock the fuel line.
