• B: Fillister head screw (M 4)

• ‒ Half open sliding roof panel.
• ‒ Remove five steel clips -arrows- for roof panel trim from panel using plastic wedge.
• ‒ Open roof completely.
• ‒ Push roof panel trim as far forward as possible.
• ‒ Bend roof panel trim upwards and carfully remove from guide rails.

Install in reverse order.

• ‒ Unclip roof panel trim and push to the rear.
• ‒ Close sliding roof.
• ‒ Unscrew guides -1- from roof panel -arrows-.

• ‒ Disengage leaf springs -1- at rear guides in direction of arrow.

→ Fig.4    Removing support plate

• ‒ Unscrew support plate -1- (arrow)- and take out by moving inwards.
• ‒ Lift roof panel to remove.

• ‒ Place sliding roof panel -2- in roof opening and position.
• ‒ Screw front guide to roof panel.
• ‒ Align rear guide -1- with roof locating points with the roof closed.
• ‒ Screw sliding roof panel to rear guide.

• ‒ Remove roof panel trim and roof panel.
• ‒ Unscrew draught deflector.
• ‒ Unscrew crank and cable drive -1-.

• ‒ Remove moulding -1- for left/right guide rail.
• ‒ Unscrew front cable guide.

• ‒ Pull cable guide with cable -1- forwards -arrow- to remove from guide rails -2-.

Note:

• ◆ It is advisable to mask the front corners of the roof opening before removing the cables.
• ◆ The cables must, as a rule, be replaced in pairs and oiled if they do not move easily.
• ◆ Apply a light coating of multi-purpose grease to the guide rails if the sliding roof does not move easily.
