Removing and installing parts of cooling system
Removing and installing radiator and radiator fan
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items

◆ Drip tray V.A.G 1306.
-
◆ Hose clip pliers V.A.G 1921.
-
◆ Torque wrench V.A.G 1331 (5...50 Nm).
-
◆ Anti-freeze tester.
Removing
-
‒ Drain coolant .
-
‒ Pull coolant hoses of radiator.
-
‒ Pull connectors off thermoswitch and radiator fan.
-
‒ Remove radiator grille.
-
‒ Remove air guides.
-
‒ Remove radiator securing bolts and brackets.
-
‒ Lift out radiator complete with fan cowling and fan.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following:

‒ Filling with coolant => Page 19-10.
