TDC sensor adapter in clutch housing
The insertion depth of the TDC sensor must be matched to the size of the flywheel. There are therefore two adapters of different colours:

‒ Green adapter - Part No.020 301 129D for 210 mm diameter clutch (installed in vehicles with 1.8 litre engine and in Caddy with all engine types).

‒ White adapter - Part No. 020 301 129B/C for 190 or 200 mm diameter clutch (installed in vehicles with 1.5 and 1.6 litre engines - except Caddy).
It is essential to ensure that the correct adapter is used when changing a gearbox or converting the clutch.
Results of fitting the incorrect adapter:
1. White adapter - 210 mm clutch

‒ The TDC sensor will be destroyed and the marks on the flywheel damaged. Parts of the TDC sensor will be found in the clutch housing.
2. Green adapter - 190 or 200 mm clutch

‒ The tester will show either no indication or an inaccurate alternating one.
