(Fuel pumps are not switched on during starting).

• ◆ Fuse No. 5 OK.

• ‒ Remove fuse box/relay plate cover.
• ‒ Remove fuel pump relay -J17- from position No. 2.
• ‒ Switch on ignition.

• ‒ → Connect LED Test Lamp V.A.G 1527 with adapter wires from V.A.G 1594 in following manner:
• ‒ between contact 2 and earth (-).
• ‒ between contact 4 and earth (-).

Where indicated, ind the break in the wiring using Current Flow Diagram and repair the fault:

=> Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations

• ‒ Switch off ignition.

• ‒ → Connect V.A.G 1527 between Contacts 4 and 6.
• ‒ Switch on ignition LED should light up for approx. 1 second.

Where indicated, use Current Flow Diagram to find open circuit to Digifant control unit and repair and/or renew Digifant control unit:
