Checking throttle valve positionerV60 resistances
Checking throttle valve positioner -V60- resistances

–  Check resistance at positioner contacts for vent and breather valve.
Throttle valve positioner breather valve -N117-: Contacts 1 and 2
Throttle valve positioner vent valve -N97-: Contacts 6 and 7
–  Check resistance at contacts of throttle valve positioner -V60- with hand-held multimeter -V.A.G 1526C- and auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594C-.
Specification: 20...70 Ω
–  Check overall resistance for potentiometer at throttle valve positioner -V60- contacts 3 and 4.
Specification: 1.4…2.6 kΩ
–  Use auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594C- to connect lead from connector (contacts 1 + 2) to throttle valve positioner -V60- (contacts 1+2) (supply throttle valve positioner breather valve -N117- with voltage).
  V22-1698
–  At the same time, use hand-operated vacuum pump with accessories -V.A.G 1390/- to generate vacuum.
–  Check resistance in positioning range at contacts 3 and 5.
Specification: Min. < 400 Ω max. 1.0…2.3 kΩ.
  V22-1536
–  Move operating rod of throttle valve positioner -V60--arrows- radially.
Specification: Max. 2.4 kΩ
  Note
Whilst operating rod of throttle valve positioner -V60- is slowly being retracted fully (overrun position) by actuating hand-operated vacuum pump with accessories -V.A.G 1390/-, resistance value must decrease constantly at the same time.
  V22-1620
